The use of Wissner´s W.smart-laser.bed even allows to retool the machines for
using a laser or a milling cutter within a few minutes.

The directly attached construction of the laser could also be prepared foresightedly
for a subsequent use of the laser treatment.

Lasers always come into operation whenever conventional technique reaches its limits. The special
range of application for lasers is in differentiation to the range of milling cutters:

The cutting of material, especially metal, that is tenacious and needs
    longitudinal tension. Hence, whenever the material is difficult to mill.
The cutting of plexiglass, particularly with polishing gloss effect. The outer
    contour could probably still be finished by using a special milling cutter to
    polish the bordering. However, the laser is the only alternative for the inner or
    free-form contours which need to have a high polish effect.
The cutting of elastic material such as foams.
The fast inscription of work pieces.

Wissner can conduct technological experiments as to test the treatment with
lasers and to accomplish other technological parameters.
In the course of experimental constructions there is also the possibility to develop
special laser adaptations.
